Privacy Policy for CrateList
Last updated: August 3, 2026
CrateList ("the app") is built and maintained by Scott Lowrey. This policy explains what information the app collects and how it's used.
Information We Collect
Account Information
CrateList uses Sign in with Apple to authenticate users. We receive a unique, app-specific identifier for your account. If you choose to share your email through Sign in with Apple, we may receive that email address or an Apple-generated private relay address.
Your Collection Data
The record collection you build in CrateList — including titles, artists, condition, pricing, provenance notes, and related details — is stored using Apple's CloudKit service, tied to your Apple ID, so it syncs across your devices and is preserved if you get a new device.
How We Use This Information
We use this information solely to operate the app's core functionality: authenticating your account and storing and syncing your record collection. We do not use your information for advertising, analytics, or marketing purposes.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. Your collection data is stored via Apple's CloudKit infrastructure, subject to Apple's own privacy practices.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in your private CloudKit database, which Apple encrypts and scopes to your individual Apple ID. We do not maintain a separate server or database containing your personal information.
Your Rights
You may delete your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below.
Children's Privacy
CrateList is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
